You can choose your time and clinic as you book for:
All MRI bookings online require a short safety checklist to be completed. For some more complex MRI examinations, you can submit a booking request and a friendly staff member will get back to you to complete your booking.
A few examinations (CT coronary angiogram, spinal injection, thyroid biopsy) can be submitted as a booking request via the online booking portal, and a friendly staff member will get back to you to complete your booking.
Scans you can request online

- Breast imaging
- Nuclear medicine
- PET
- Interventional procedures
For an injection, choose the scan type named on your referral, such as Ultrasound or CT. Under Ultrasound, open the body part, such as Hip, to find its injection option, and under CT, choose Spinal Injection.
What you need before you book
- A referral. Jones Radiology accepts all referral forms.
- Referrals are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
- Your referral, ready to upload. You’ll be asked to upload it in the final step.

Alice Springs, and patients from another facility
Appointments at our Alice Springs clinic are made by phone on (08) 8951 7870.
Patients from another hospital, a nursing home or a high care unit within a retirement village require a Patient Transfer form to be completed online in order to make a booking.
This form must be completed by the Referrer or Healthcare professional managing the patient.
Walk-in X-rays
We welcome walk-ins for a plain X-ray at your nearest clinic without a booking.
Many of our X-ray services can be done without a booking – simply walk into your nearest Jones Radiology clinic with your referral and we’ll look after you.
Please note that during busy periods, staff breaks or the occasional emergency, you may experience a short wait. If you can’t wait, our friendly team will book a time that suits you.

Costs

Your results
A radiologist reviews your images and prepares a written report, which is sent to the doctor who referred you.
Your referring doctor will go through the results with you.
