Jones Radiology is expanding its PET imaging services, with an additional scanner opening at the Southern Specialist Centre (SSC) in Morphett Vale from Monday 1 June 2026.
This new service at SSC will see Jones Radiology offering PET scans at three sites across South Australia, complementing existing services at Kurralta Park (Tennyson Centre) and SAHMRI. This expansion responds to growing demand in the southern region, while ensuring continuity of care for patients closer to home.
The expanded service is designed to improve access and appointment availability, while helping to reduce wait times for both patients and referrers. The SSC PET service will offer a comprehensive range of imaging, including:
- Oncology FDG studies
- FDG imaging for infection,
- PSMA imaging for Prostate cancer, and
- Neurodegenerative FDG brain imaging for Alzheimer’s disease.
The new PET department will also support clinical trials requiring standard-of-care PET imaging for patients in the southern region of Adelaide.
