You feel fine. But when was the last time you took a closer look at your health?

Wellness Imaging at Jones Radiology is designed for people who feel well but want to better understand their health risks and support informed conversations with their GP.

Why consider Wellness Imaging?
Some health conditions, including heart disease and certain cancers, may develop quietly over time. Wellness Imaging may help:

  • Assess personal health risk.
  • Detect changes earlier.
  • Support prevention strategies.
  • Provide reassurance where appropriate.

Who might consider these scans?
Some people choose to explore Wellness Imaging if they:

  • are over 40 and interested in preventative health
  • have a family history of certain conditions
  • have risk factors such as high cholesterol or diabetes
  • want a clearer understanding of their health as they age.

All decisions about imaging should begin with a discussion with your GP.

Wellness Services at Jones Radiology:

Whole Body

Curious about what’s happening inside your body — even when you feel well?

Whole Body MRI
Whole Body MRI provides a broad overview of multiple organ systems in one scan, with no radiation exposure. It does not detect all cancers and may identify incidental findings that require further investigation.

Bone Mineral Density (BMD)
A Bone Mineral Density scan can detect early bone changes before fractures occur.

Body Composition / DEXA Scan
Body Composition imaging measures fat, muscle and bone – helping you understand strength and resilience as you age.

Heart Health

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for men and women in Australia. Two non-invasive scans may assist in understanding cardiac risk:

Calcium Score (CAC)
A low-dose CT scan that measures calcium build-up in the heart arteries to estimate your 10-year heart risk.

CT Coronary Angiogram (CTCA)
A detailed CT scan of the coronary arteries that can detect plaque that may narrow or block blood flow. A coronary artery calcium score is also included as part of the scan.

Lung Check

Lung cancer is often diagnosed late. For some individuals at increased risk who do not qualify for national screening programs, a Low Dose CT Chest scan may help detect early changes before symptoms appear.

Lung Cancer CT
A low-dose CT scan to detect early lung changes.

Breast Imaging

Dense breast tissue can make early detection more challenging. For some women with dense breasts or a family history, an Abbreviated Breast MRI may provide additional insight alongside routine screening.

Abbreviated Breast MRI
Shorter, contrast-enhanced MRI tailored for dense breast tissue.

Prostate Imaging

1 in 6 Australian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. A PSA blood test doesn’t always tell the full story. Prostate MRI may help clarify risk and guide next steps.

Prostate MRI
MRI of the prostate is a non-invasive procedure that takes images of the prostate gland.
