How online booking works

All MRI bookings online require a short safety checklist to be completed. For some more complex MRI examinations, you can submit a booking request and a Jones staff member will get back to you to complete your booking.

Request a booking online

Some more complex scans can be submitted as a booking request via the online booking portal. A Jones staff member will get back to you to complete your booking:

For an injection, choose the scan type named on your referral. For ultrasound, select the body part (e.g. hip), then find the injection option. Under CT, choose Spinal Injection.

What you need before you book

  • A referral, ready to upload. Jones Radiology accepts all referral forms.
  • Referrals are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Alice Springs, and patients from another facility

Appointments at our Alice Springs clinic are made by phone on (08) 8951 7870.

Patients from another hospital, a nursing home or a high care unit within a retirement village require a Patient Transfer form to be completed online in order to make a booking. This form must be completed by the referrer or healthcare professional managing the patient.

Walk-in X-rays

Many of our X-ray services are offered as walk-ins – simply arrive at your nearest Jones Radiology clinic with your referral and we’ll see you at the earliest available time.

Please note that during busy periods, staff breaks or the occasional emergency, you may experience a short wait. If you can’t wait, we will book a time that suits you.

Your results

A radiologist reviews your images and prepares a report. This is sent to your referring practitioner who will go through the results with you.
