Dr Shanesh Kumar joined Jones Radiology in 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Science, specialising in Biomedical Science, from the University of Auckland in 2008, and his Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Science in 2013 from Deakin University.
His training began with junior doctor and surgical training in Melbourne from 2014 to 2018, followed by radiology training across various hospitals in Adelaide until 2023.
Dr Kumar is currently undertaking a Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship from McGill University in Montreal, Canada until 2025.
Dr Kumar’s special interests lie in musculoskeletal and body imaging, with a keen focus on MRI and CT. He has also been involved in research, with numerous presentations and publications.
Dr Kumar holds a public consultant appointment at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
In his leisure time, Dr Kumar enjoys sports, travel, and exploring different cuisines.
