For the fourth consecutive year, Jones Radiology is proud to support The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRFG) and Australian Breast Cancer Research for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.
What started as a single campaign has grown into a longstanding commitment, one that reflects something we believe in: that imaging and research aren’t separate parts of the breast cancer journey, they work together.
Why we keep showing up
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in Australia, and the second most common cancer to cause death in women, after lung cancer. In Australia, 1 in 7 women and 1 in 700 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Early detection through screening remains one of the most powerful tools we have, and regular screening can save lives.
Detection is only part of the picture, behind every scan is a growing body of research working to make diagnosis earlier, treatment better, and outcomes stronger.
Four years, one message: don’t put it off
Across four years of this partnership, our message hasn’t changed. It’s easy to put your own health at the bottom of the list. Regular screening matters, and it’s worth making time for.
This October, that message comes with a way to act on it. Jones Radiology supports the full breast imaging pathway, mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM), so whatever stage of the journey you’re at, there’s a path forward.
Mammography and breast ultrasound are available at 10 clinics across South Australia and Alice Springs, with biopsy and localisation services at Burnside. Find your nearest clinic.
What your support funds
Throughout October, Jones Radiology will donate $10 for every mammogram performed to Australian Breast Cancer Research. Over four years, that support has gone towards research into the detection, treatment and management of breast cancer, research that’s shaping better outcomes for South Australian women.
