Dr Oakden-Rayner graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2007 and subsequently completed radiology training in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Dr Oakden-Rayner was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2016 after completing a year of advanced MRI training at Flinders Medical Centre.
Dr Oakden-Rayner is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Adelaide, working with an international team to better understand individual variations in patient’s health using artificial intelligence.
Dr Oakden-Rayner has a subspecialty interest in thoracic and abdominal imaging.
Prior to joining Jones Radiology in 2017, Dr Oakden-Rayner held an Associate Clinical Lecturer position at the University of Adelaide and was an Invited Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. Dr Oakden-Rayner is regularly invited to talk to professional organisations, the media, and the general public about radiology and artificial intelligence.
Dr Oakden-Rayner is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the Health Informatics Society of Australia, and co-founded the South Australian Radiology Research Network.
